Nope. There’s no database. You can’t call them and have them look it up. There are aosuhtnds of companies.The good news is, whoever is filing the claim, won’t know who the beneficiary is until the check shows up at YOUR door, if you’re the beneficiary. The bad news is, unless you’re the executor of the estate, you can’t even get the cancelled checks to see what company he’d been paying for the insurance.Someone else cannot keep you from receiving the money IF you are the beneficiary. The insurance company will mail it to you directly. Someone else doesn’t get to distribute the insurance money.

For making payment on line, LIC has to create a liberal and simple id so as to enable the customer from waiting the long queaue. IT should be easy and convenient, hence this request.
